There is No Third Possibility

3 min readMay 3, 2025

The belief that man can only understand and be master of his history when he understands it as an incessant progress has been gaining ground since the 18th century through successive attacks. This faith in the progress of human history constitutes the hidden driving force that has driven the expansion of natural sciences in the course of the 19th and 20th centuries. In the case of Karl Marx, this force is transformed into a theory of revolution that has completely reversed the prevailing order in large states and has given rise to the foundation of new systems of domination; on the capitalist-liberal side, it shapes the physiognomy of the USA, conditioned by a fascinating technique. It has been this impulse that has turned Russia and the USA into the first world powers. And, as is well known, there is a cold war between these two great powers.

The alarming thing is that both of them turn out to be the “untouchables”, they are the Machiavellian brains, they are the intellectual planners of the wars that are unleashed in other countries. A typical example of this was the lesson of attention, of care, that the USSR, that country that has not been buying stories for a long time, gave to the USA with the destruction of the South Korean passenger plane: Soviet paranoia? Control failure? “Turning a blind eye” to the USA? What was the true intention of the Americans?

The world does not live in peace: it lives in a situation of constant war eve. Today’s wars are endless. And using the plural is to involve the secondary participants and not, directly, the main ones. These endless wars are nothing but the changing phases of a single war, in the most diverse scenarios and with the most disparate apparent pretexts.

The human species has ceased to exist as such. The community that has established itself as guardian of the atomic bomb is above the kingdom of Nature, for it is Nature that is responsible for its own life and death.

Before, it was not possible to destroy the human species. Today, however, the USSR and the USA are capable of destroying not only all forms of life on the planet, but on twenty or thirty similar planets. They have in their hands weapons of all kinds: nuclear, chemical and biological. In addition, they can unleash plagues, paralyze the nervous system of entire populations, and instantly drive millions of beings mad and idiotic.

This is the terrifying end of the excesses to which power leads: unreason.

Never before have human beings, even in their most unnatural delusions of destruction, managed to conceive the possibility of which they are now victims.

The solution? In order to preserve the species, humanity will be forced to transform the entire Earth into a second Nature, into a Nature of an artificial character governed by sound human reason. This can only be achieved by creating a political framework whose structure is radically different from that of all political systems known to date. For the first time in its history, humanity is faced with the harsh alternative of obeying the command of necessity and overriding its historical traditions, or being the cause of a chain of catastrophes that will cost the lives of hundreds of millions of human beings and will not transform but destroy all traditions valid to date. There is no third possibility!
